GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper, or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.1) Draw a rectangle that will define the conditional proportions and boundaries of the chosen drawing. 2) From the middle of the rectangle, draw one vertical and one horizontal line equally dividing the shape. 3) Draw another horizontal line equally dividing the upper half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a horizontal line equally dividing the bottom half of the rectangle. 4) Draw a vertical line equally dividing the left half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a vertical line equally dividing the right half of the rectangle.

STEP 1. Draw two figures for the head and torso.

STEP 3. Make the contours of arms and legs more defined. Erase any excess.

STEP 4. Divide the face with lines. Outline the neck. Draw an oblong jacket. Improve the shape of the trousers. Mark the suitcase under the leg.

STEP 5. Outline the facial features. Add playing cards to one hand and a knife to the other. Work on the clothes and shoes. Shape the suitcase. Erase all the excess.

STEP 6. Start drawing the hair. Add shadows around the eyes. Draw the fingers. Continue working on the details of the clothes and the suitcase.

STEP 7. Detail the cards and clothing. Add hair and a scar to the Joker. Add money peeking out of the suitcase.

STEP 8. Draw creases all over the body and wrinkles on the face. On the suit, draw a tie and buttons Detail the hair. On the card, draw a ‘J.’ Add banknotes to the suitcase. Mark the shoelaces.

STEP 9. Check that there are no extra lines in the drawing. Contour Joker, trying to vary the thickness and darkness of the line.
